Music Notes From Rod Kelley
Choir is off to a “running start” this year with approximately 60 students enrolled. The fourth and fifth grade choir meets in the multi-purpose room every Thursday from 12:40 to 1:20 pm. This year’s theme is “Sights and Sounds of December.”
If your child has enrolled in choir, please talk to him/her about coming to class every Thursday until the concert, which will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008. Please mark your calendar now, as it is part of the experience to give this gift to community.
If your child has been selected to audition for the GUSD Elementary Honor Choir, a special choir for advanced elementary singers, auditions will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30th and Thursday, Oct. 2nd, beginning at 3pm. Please meet at South Valley Middle School (SVMS), room I-3, on whichever day is most convenient for you. (I-3 is the northernmost classroom on the building that runs parallel to Murray St.) A parent or other adult should come to the audition and remain until the student is ready to leave.
